Therapy for Eating Disorders
Eating disorders can take up an enormous amount of space—shaping how you eat, move, socialize, see your body, and think about yourself. At Psychobabble Therapy, we provide specialized, compassionate care for eating disorders, disordered eating, and body image concerns.
Our therapists help clients explore the relationships, emotions, beliefs, and experiences that may be intertwined with their eating disorder, including perfectionism, anxiety, identity, shame, trauma, achievement, belonging, and relationships.
Eating disorders can impact both physical and emotional health. When appropriate, we collaborate with registered dietitians, physicians, psychiatrists, and other members of your treatment team to provide thoughtful, coordinated care. No treatment team? No problem! We are happy to connect you to other providers in our community.
We also support clients transitioning from residential, PHP, or IOP treatment back into everyday life.
Recovery isn't just about what happens in the therapy room. It's being able to go to dinner with friends, take a rest day, travel, wear the swimsuit, be in the picture, enjoy the celebration, and be present for your own life.
We're here to help you make more room for it.
Your life can become bigger than food, your body, and the rules that have taken up too much space.
Eating disorders are about food—but recovery often reaches far beyond that.

-
You don't have to reach a certain weight, severity, or level of struggle to deserve support. Eating disorders can affect people in every kind of body, and earlier support is always worthwhile.
-
Not at all. We work with people across the spectrum—from diagnosed eating disorders to disordered eating, chronic dieting, body image concerns, or simply feeling like food and your body take up too much mental space.
-
Maybe! Eating disorders can affect both physical and emotional health, so we may recommend additional support from an eating disorder-informed dietitian, physician, or other provider. With your permission, we're happy to collaborate with your treatment team.
-
Absolutely. We can help you transition from a higher level of care into outpatient therapy and continue building recovery in everyday life.
-
Yes. You don't need an eating disorder to work on your relationship with your body. Body image concerns, appearance anxiety, comparison, and self-worth are all things we can explore in therapy.
-
If you'd like it to be. We welcome conversations about how faith, spirituality, identity, body image, shame, and recovery intersect. Faith integration is always guided by you and is never required.
