Individual Therapy

Instead of just living how you were taught to live growing up or in ways that hinder your health, you can decide to get to know yourself and help yourself. A therapist is there to walk with you through this and help you recognize patterns in your thoughts, emotions and behaviors. Therapy offers reflection that leads to deeper understanding of yourself and your relationships.

Therapy is set up for you to be with a trained professional who provides a safe place to bring your unfiltered self and be met with unconditional empathy and regard. Starting therapy doesn’t means you care enough about yourself to invest in your well-being. It means you are strong enough to face the hard things. You do not have to go all in, it's just one step at a time!

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

  • People seek therapy for many reasons—stress, anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, grief, self-esteem issues, or feeling “stuck” in life. You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit; therapy can be helpful for personal growth and prevention as well.

  • Sessions are typically 45–60 minutes, once per week. The overall length of therapy varies—some people benefit from short-term therapy (a few months), while others choose longer-term work. Progress depends on your goals and needs.

  • You may feel relief in unloading your current stressors and anxieties. It takes time to continue the work and invest in your healing. Sometimes, it is harder before it gets better. You get to decide what to bring to your sessions to process and when you do so, you will find more effectiveness. Additionally, outside of individual therapy sessions, it is helpful if you decide to practice new coping skills, thought process changes, etc.

  • Rates will be discussed during the initial consultation or upon request.
