Divorce and Relationship Struggles
Life can be messy. Sometimes our brains are loud, our relationships are complicated, and the things we have been through can make it hard to know what we actually need. Whether you are struggling with OCD, working through trauma, navigating a divorce or relationship, exploring your attachment patterns, or finding your sense of self and learning to accept who you are, I want therapy to be a space where you can take a breath, feel understood, and be fully yourself. I specialize in OCD and use Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) to help you face fears without letting OCD call all the shots. I also incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), depending on what fits you best. Therapy is not one-size-fits-all, and I believe our work should be tailored to you.
I use curiosity, compassion, authenticity, and a healthy amount of humor to help you understand yourself and the patterns that may be keeping you stuck. My goal is not to tell you what you should do or give you a list of things to “fix.” Instead, I want to help you put words to what you are feeling, build new tools, and feel more confident in navigating life and your relationships. You are the expert on your own life. Sometimes, though, it is hard to see the bigger picture when you are standing in the middle of it. Together, we can slow things down and figure out what you want your life and relationships to look like. There may be hard conversations and uncomfortable moments, but hopefully some laughs along the way, too. You can bring the messy parts, the overthinking, the uncertainty, and the things you are not quite ready to say out loud yet.
My hope is that therapy becomes a place where you feel safe enough to be honest, supported enough to grow, and empowered enough to trust yourself a little more.
Outside of work, I love museums, pottery, hot yoga, hiking with my dog, reading, collecting art, traveling, gardening, and going to concerts. I am always looking for something new to explore, and I believe life should have room for both meaningful growth and the things that simply make you happy.
